These shorter and quieter trains, typically consisting of only 5 or 6 cars, not only pass by infrequently each day, but also travel at significantly reduced speeds as they are approaching or leaving the Ottawa Train Station, which is located less than 2 kms away. 

      An informal survey of neighborhood homeowners confirms that the presence of the train corridor, which long predates the development of the Alta Vista area, has zero impact on their quality of life or peaceful enjoyment of their homes.
